Southern Extreme Barrel Racing Association - SEBRArun

 

The Southern Extreme Barrel Racing Association gets off the ground this month with Weekly series events at Carousel Farms in Raleigh, NC and Palomino Mtn. Ranch in Low Gap, NC. Red Eye Rodeo Company in Annville, Pennsylvania is also planning about twenty events. There are several other Bulls & Barrels events throughout the Southeast listed on the schedule and many more are expected as the word gets out.

SEBRA bull riding sanctioned 225 events last year, with about 80% being bulls and barrels.

 

SEBRArun Barrel Racing will be set up on a points system. Ten points will be given for entering, and an additional twenty points will be awarded for winning first. Points will be received down to tenth place. Prizes awards will be set at different plateaus. 200 points – Bronze Plateau, 400 points – Sliver Plateau, 600 points – Gold Plateau and 800 points for the Platinum Plateau. Awards will consist of SEBRA endorsed product sponsors.

 

Cowgirl’s Choice Equine Shampoo has came on board as a Bronze Level sponsor, Horse tack giant Weaver Leather has joined as the Official Halter of SEBRA and will serve as s Silver Plateau Sponsor. Wrangler has agreed to endorse our girls when they reach the Gold Plateau. Other sponsors are being contacted and recruited weekly. The top 15 barrel racers will be able to enter the SEBRA Championship Finals in Raleigh, February 13th and 14th , 2009.

 

Jackets and awards similar to what the SEBRA bull riders receive are planned for the finalists. Including a custom tooled saddle and a Bob Berg buckle for the Year end Champion and a buckle for the Finals Champion
